If the price is the same, which is the better buy – a ten-inch round pizza or a nine-inch square pizza?

SOLUTION

Area of round pizza
\pi 5^2=3.14\times 25
=78.54 square inches
Area of square pizza
9^2=81 square inches
81 >78.54\rightarrow square pizza is a better buy.

Answer: Square pizza
